  • Labiaplasty

Are you embarrassed by the appearance or size of your lady parts? Do you find sexual intercourse or physical activity uncomfortable? If so, a labiaplasty may help solve your problem(s).

Genetics, pregnancy, hormones, edema and aging all take their toll on a woman’s genitalia. Prominent labia minora can cause discomfort when wearing certain clothing or having sexual intercourse.  Some women are also bothered by the appearance of prominent or excessive labia minora leading to self-esteem issues during intimate relations.   Most patients have the procedure performed under local anesthesia in the office.  If they take no oral medications, they can drive themselves home (like going to the dentist).  At the end of every labiaplasty, Exparel is infiltrated into the area to provide 48-72 hours of numbness.

If you are traveling from far away or if you would like to save time, you may submit photos and information via our HIPAA compliant virtual consultation platform.  We may be able to schedule the consultation and procedure at the same time.

Labiaplasty is one of the fastest growing cosmetic surgery procedures in the United States.*

Procedure The labia minora are reduced to a size that is more harmonious with the labia majora.  Some patients also have deflated labia majora that can create the illusion of excessively large labia minora.  In these patients fat grafting to the labia majora at the time of labiaplasty can help achieve a better balance between the labia minora and labia majora.   Other complementary procedures include monsplasty, perineoplasty and vaginal rejuvenation (tightening).

The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia in the office. Dr. Brown uses Exparel, a numbing medicine that lasts 2-3 days.   Exparel has significantly reduced post-operative pain.
