Does your face look older than you feel?

Do you look more tired than you feel?

Do you have a turkey neck?

    If so, we can help.

Facial rejuvenation procedures are becoming more and more popular because the current generation of “middle-age” Americans are not ready to look old.  Many of them still have a lot of energy and things they want to do.   They are dating again, getting married for the second or third time and starting a new careers.

A facelift is the “foundation” or “cornerstone “of turning back the clock and rejuvenating your face.

The three components of facial aging are:

    1.  Falling tissues (jowls, turkey neck)
    2.  Loss of volume (fat)
    3.  Skin texture changes (wrinkles and blemishes)

Dr. Brown’s Triple Facial Rejuvenation treats all 3 components of facial aging.

    1. Facelift
    2. Fat transfer (grafting)
    3. Laser resurfacing

Problem Falling (ptotic) facial tissue which leads to deep nasolabial folds, a poorly defined jawline, jowls and often a saggy neck.
Procedure Through an incision around the ears, the falling soft tissues are lifted back up and the extra skin is removed.
Goal To rejuvenate the face by lifting the facial tissues back to where they are supposed to be; making you look younger, energized and more refreshed.
Facility Office, Surgery Center or Hospital
Preparation Patients should not be using any nicotine containing products or on any blood thinners.
Anesthesia Local anesthesia in the office.  IV sedation or general anesthesia in the operating room.
Hospital stay Most patients go home after surgery.
Positioning After a facelift you should sleep with neck extended (looking upward) for one month to keep the skin of your neck nice and smooth while it heals.
Assistance You will be able to walk around, feed and bathe yourself.  Depending on your pain medication requirements, you may not be able to drive or care for others.
Walking You are encouraged to walk around as much as possible to help reduce the risk of DVT and thromboembolism.
Showering You may shower 24 hours following surgery.
Exercise Regular exercise after 1 week.
Sex Wait 1 week because you don’t want to increase your blood pressure during the early healing period.
Work If you have a desk job you can return to work as soon as you are comfortable doing so.
Swelling Usually greatest around 3 days after surgery from which time it starts to subside.
Bruising You may be bruised for 1-2 weeks.  Most people can cover the bruising with concealer after 7-10 days.  We can also zap you with one of our lasers to speed up the resolution of the bruising.  Taking Arnica Montana before and after surgery will reduce the severity of the bruising.
    Follow-up Appointments 1-3 days after surgery, 1 week, 3 weeks, 8 weeks, 6 months, 1 year.
