Breast Lift With Implants
Do you desire lifted, fuller breasts with improved cleavage? For many women having attractive breasts is an important part of feeling confident and healthy. When you put your hands above your head, can you see the bottom of your breasts? If you can, you may need an augmentation only. If you cannot, you probably need a lift and implants.
Breast lift with implants or “Augmentation-Mastopexy” is a powerful procedure because it in one operation it can dramatically change the size, shape and appearance of your breasts.
Dr. Brown thinks of breast surgery as an investment. He does everything he can to reduce your risk for ever needing revisionary surgery. Thoughtful planning and meticulous execution of the first operation is the best chance for an excellent, long-lasting result.
Once you’ve decided to pursue a breast lift with implants in the Pensacola area, you want to make sure to find the right plastic surgeon, the right implant, and the right mastopexy (lift) technique to meet your expectations. Dr. Ben Brown is the only plastic surgeon in the region to train at a 6-year integrated plastic surgery program. During his 6-years at Georgetown University, Dr. Brown was mentored by world renown plastic surgeons Drs. Scott Spear and Maurice Nahabedian.
|Procedure||Before surgery, in the pre-operative holding area, Dr. Brown performs the most important part of the surgery – the pre-op markings. This typically takes around 10 minutes. Dr. Brown will use multiple different rulers, levels and makers to plan your operation. The most precise measurements can be made with you awake and standing up with normal muscle tone and posture.
A pocket for the breast implant is created above or below the muscle. This pocket is created and accessed through your mastopexy (lift) incisions. A silicone or saline implant is placed into this pocket
The tissues are closed with absorbable suture. The operation usually takes Dr. Brown 2-3 hours depending on the amount of “lift” required.
